A Chinese YouTuber has gone to great lengths to build a foldable iPhone from existing parts, merging the internals of an ‌iPhone‌ with the foldable chassis of a Motorola Razr. The resulting device is an ‌iPhone‌ that can be folded in half.

The video is in Chinese language with subtitles and describes the process used to deconstruct the two devices. All internal components of the ‌iPhone‌ X have been removed and redesigned to fit inside a Motorola Razr foldable chassis.

Called “‌iPhone‌ V”, the foldable ‌iPhone‌ is functional, runs iOS, and the screen clearly folds in half. Several ‌iPhone‌ models appear to have been torn down and converted to a foldable design, although the walkthrough focuses on the ‌iPhone‌ X.

Rumors suggest Apple is working on foldable iPhone‌ prototypes, but as of now, there’s no definite word on what a foldable Apple might look like or when it will launch.
